The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Good grief! Sittin' here eating and freeping and spilled queso all in my lap. Had to go change clothes. Someday I'm gonna grow up and learn to eat without spillin' supper all over me. i hope.

I won't know the winner 'cause I ain't watchin'.

Evening All; got sorta caught up eating supper but had a dickens of a time getting back in, no matter;
Hair; initially I'd have gone with Ramius' theory, I've seen that sort thing before for intermittent or low volume sewage disposal, like a camper, camp or kennel. But your other "finds" lead a bit of credance to the "stash-lab" scenario; still it could just be the debbitage from less than stellar house-keeping.

You can't expect a baby to be born right if you keep yankin' it out every hour to see how it's doin'. That one is not only a gruesome picture... it also makes me cringe and say OOOWWWWWIIIEEEEE!!!!

That's good to hear.
I haven't been in anything approaching your situation. I was only in the Coast Guard some many years back, and back then all we had to deal with was the cold war. It was never my place to fire a war shot. But I've been remote and unreachable on an icebreaker for some months at a time, and I really hope that they are treating you as well as possible, and you're getting whatever you need.
I suppose it's been said to you before... but if you have something you need that we can provide there are plenty of us here that will try to help if we can.
Thank you for everything. We really mean that. :-)

it also makes me cringe and say OOOWWWWWIIIEEEEE!!!! But it is a useful metaphor, is it not?

I've been working on the drawing off and on for a week or two now, and getting a canvas stretched and prepared. Started painting the thing this afternoon and like the way it's going so far.
No one is here, Jeanne's out in Arizona, but I am so excited I had to tell someone. I'm too tired to paint now, but am having trouble wanting to sleep.
The last one I did, I thought was too racy for FR, but everyone around here likes it, Jeanne wants to hang it up.
