The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

If you ever get around to rentin' that movie Songwriter you will see the context of that "runnin' socks" phrase! I stole from the movie again.

a Bellamy song was the first song he ever played on the radio for me with a kinda cool intro. I Could Be Persuaded. He didn't play, "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body"?

yeah, all the guys in my life are snoozing, even the cat. I am gonna hafta kick elf-boy outta my bed and into his own pretty soon so I can sleep sitting up, LOL.
On a side note, we visited the local Methodist church the last two Sundays. I was raised in the methodist church and wanted to try the one down the street. Neither one of us is completely happy with the two churches we have been attending. Plus, I REALLY want something of substance for elf-boy. The Sunday school class he has been going to isn't what I want for him. He came out of the new class telling me he wanted to go back! He even remembered what the lesson was about, for the most part. The cool part was that the Sunday school lesson was the same topic as the pastor's Sermon.
Okay, to make a long story short, or longer as the case may be, the pastor called just about 20 minutes ago to welcome us to the church. He was telling me about the chuch and the kids' program. Then asked me when I moved to the area (I had put down that my membership was at Asbury UMC, Tulsa). I felt that I had to share my dad's miracle story with him. It was vey neat. Turns out, the pastor was a volunteer chaplain at Parkland at the same time dad was in their 6th floor burn unit back in '86. small world.

If he has the shivers, that sounds like a fever.
Have you taken his temperature?
Hope you guys will be OK.
Good evening, everyone.

what, did you plan that? Thought I was seeing double, and I haven't had a drop since, well, since September.

You know, as I look at the witch circle again, I think someone --- possibly not a human --- may be buried at the foot of that tree, and the chair is there to make visiting easy.
As for your barrel ... if I wanted to hide something metallic, I would dig a deep hole, bury it, partially fill with dirt, then plop a barrel on top and finish burying. Even with a metal detector, you'd only find the barrel, not the other thing ... and you might not look under the barrel.
To: Ramius
Yeah. I think you'd kinda like it. But, I'm going to get it repaired tomorrow. :-)

I haven't had a drop since, well, since September. Well, that would 'splain it. :-)
