The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Can you send us such a list for the webpage?

I'll put something together, and include it on the CD I'm mailing you with all the knife images to date. Can't say yet when that will be, since I'm trying to sort out a credit card mess right now.

I did email you a Word doc last week with a better project history. Did you get it?

That's bizarre. I can't figure what such a thing would be used for. It sure does raise the question about whether there are any more like that.

Seems to me that somebody that does something that odd isn't going to do it just once. It might be time to get back in there with a metal detector.

Question: Are you *sure* that it was just dirt down below there? Did you dig down in the bottom of it?

Yup, got it. Working on redesigning the pages right now, so it is posted at http://test.the-hobbit-hole.net/troops/knife.htm for the time being.

I think it was just dirt in the bottom, but I didn't want to find out ~really~ bad.

We are talking about a metal detector. It would be fruitful, if horrifying. We have found so much dangerous crap out there that I can't believe we have found all of it yet. The horses are pretty careful when they find strange things.... but still.

Yeah! And you're wantin' all of US to camp out there! LOL

Okay, just got done meetin' with my boss about the student. First thing, Gene is staying with me for class tomorrow night. Second thing, the student will not be allowed to enroll next quarter without threats of lawsuits or something. Whew!

Ghost stories may not be much compared with those bodies and/or body parts we uncover! :-|

Oh dear... you have been left out! Hair will have to scrounge up her old photos of the witch's circle and tell the tale! It's on her property!

Weren't you at Val Verde with me the year we did Progression at that intensely brushy area down by the river when it drizzled all weekend? If you were, and I think you were, you may remember that was one of my most entertaining teaching campouts. Those guys were scared of EVERY last thing that made a noise in the brush at night! TOO FUNNY!

Ghost stories are okay.... we told ghost stories on campouts. Among other things.

Scary movies are a different story! You may have to go to wedding moot with me to protect me! :-)

I bet it's a wig and clothing from some burglary heist back in the day!

Or an old store mannequin that some dude was hiding from his parents after a drunken fraternity party.

Or a pile of junk someone was too lazy to take to Goodwill!
