The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yep!

Chamomile sounds good! I don't think I wanna get up and make it right now though. The ice pack is feelin' good on the head spot. As you know, these spasms are just somethin' we learn to deal with from time to time. I'm thinkin' I will tackle those when the head stops hurting. or at least lets up for a bit.

SQ; that brings a smile and a pleasant memory. When we brought Samantha home, our neighbor (of 23 years), looked at her and said "Dog, you just don't know how good you're going to have it now."
LSA replied, "well, no dog on the couch. period" That lasted a remarkedly short length of time. Less than six weeks later, LSA was out cutting the lawn and came in to find Sam on the couch, asleep, with her head on a pillow. She let her stay. :-)

Took you long enough! We are pretty slow on Saturday or you wouldn't have made it under 300!

WN is going to stay up with the ice on her head and watch movies.

Actually, after the last 2 Excedrin and the ice pack it feels better.

I got up to go make chamomile tea also, but then it dawned on me that it would make me relax and drowsy and I prolly need to not do that quite yet. Although it has already been several hours and I think I'm safe.

Just got this email on the ministry prayer list:

Dallas police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a motorcyclist late Wednesday on Buckner Boulevard. Larry Dean Bartlett, 53, was driving south in the 3500 block of Buckner Boulevard just north of Interstate 30 about 11:25 p.m. when he was hit by a white 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck, police said. Witnesses told police the driver got out of his vehicle, looked at Mr. Bartlett and then drove away. The victim later died at Baylor University Medical Center. The driver is described as a 30-year-old man weighing about 150 pounds. Police said the truck has tinted windows, a blue stripe, spoke wheels and license plate number ending in "PF3." Anyone with information can call the vehicle crimes squad at 214-670-5818.

WN; dang, you're right about that. I focused on the neck spasms and forgot the "head bashed in" part. Sorry.

No... being *cautious* would be to go do that thing that you won't do.

Tammie is getting stir crazy at her house so she's coming over to perhaps watch a movie or talk or something... so i'll have somebody for a babysitter for a few hours.... that should make things sound safer to all of you who aren't here watching me in person.

I reckon if this was one of you who bashed a head I'd be a bit concerned about you sitting home alone. I'll have company for a while - I am sure she will try to haul my a$$ to emergency if she thinks it needs to go.

Babe, what would you do?

If I were actually so dizzy or disoriented that it bothered me I *would* indeed do that. As it is, I am sure I've just knocked myself a good headache.

Anyway, do you remember that conversation we had about Aunt Cheryl going to emergency? And how she knew she had to get *one* last thing done before she walked in the door? Now, why would I wanna have to deal with that! LOL

I'm so sorry, Osage.

When Bear told me about Samantha this evening, I wondered what I could say. Not much that you didn't. She was loved, and that is beautiful.

Y'all're in my thoughts.
