Isaiah 52:5: "But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed."
Just came back from Passion. The verse "And by His scourging we are healed." came to my mind many, many times ...and yes, there were tears. But at the end, tears of joy, and of hope. He is alive, ya know! ;)
Very well made movie. There were some "extras" sprinkled out the movie, but it didn't take away from the plot. It mostly enhanced scripture..behind the scenes kind of thing.
Don't take your kids under 12. Wait until they are older and understand why Jesus had to go through this.
Wow. Scenes from the movie are just running through my mind non-stop. Wow.
Go see it. :)

Doesn't it make you a little wistful to know we will never see post numbers that high again?Yes it does, but we also have the pride of knowing that those big numbers will forever be ours.

I finally had some spare time today, so I put the secant gauge on my .308 Remington. The dovetail was a little small, so I needed some needle files to open it up a bit to fit the rails. Made me feel like a gunsmith. Here's the final results, plus an overall view of my squirrel gun.

Hmmm... Maybe I need a squirrel gun like that. Way too many squirrels in my yard here.

well... it's officially fire season here...
there's a firebug round these parts that just loves to drive down the back roads settin fires every spring...
yesterday that nutjob set about 6 fires to the north of us... closest one was about a mile away... fire crews were out there all day... you could see the glows prominantly from our house last nite... looks pretty clear now...
gonna go help the new neighbors by brush hawgin' a perimeter around their house... get some other werk done too...
the hoses are staged, as are buckets, shovels and rakes...
if'n I see the S.O.B. lightin' a fire, they won't need tuh bother with a trial...

have a great time, Jen...

I like playing with fire, as I guess most of us do, but I just can't understand how someone can enjoy wanton destruction, or threatening the lives of others.
The desire for power ain't that strong in me.
Would it be a good idea to have a 4x4 ready too?

Well, it's some distance away and the tubing session starts at 10.
Snow tubing is sliding down a big, snow-covered hill in a rubber ring, like a whitewater rafts. Lots of fun!
