I hope it's nothing serious, of course none of us really know how to check up on each other. I've seen him post from time to time, seems like a nice guy that wouldn't be into disappearing acts.

I imagine he's probably just busy dealing with the problem or trying to find out what is going on.
For the future, you might think twice about headline writing when you are going to post it in breaking news. It really did scare the crap out of me, since in the past we have had some freepers disappear due to suspected foul play, and family members post similarly titled threads in a desparate attempt to locate them. I know you mean well, so not trying to be a scold, but something to think about.
Will be interesting to finally learn what was the cause for the rise in his water's temperature.
