GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
The new year is knocking at out doors and what ever you do, EAT THOSE BLACK EYED PEAS ON THE FIRST! If you don't want to eat the ones that take some time to fix get at least one can and indulge, you will never regret it cause luck will come your way.
2004, I was born in 1936 and over the years I have seen so many things come about, the TV for one. I can remember sitting in front of the radio as the kids sit in front of a TV today and my favorite show? The Lone Ranger then Superman, oh those days. But hen I get to thinking, here I am sitting in the USA by design by our God, I could have been born in Iraq, Iran, North Korea but wasn't, here I am in Long Beach, Mississippi with a icebox full of food, a nice car to drive, a roof over my head. I see those poor folks in Bam, Iraq having to dig their children, mother of daddy, their MawMaw of PawPaw from the rubble and I look at my children and Gd and give thanks to my God above for who I am and where I am. We all have so much to give thanks for, even the poorest of the poor in our nation is so much richer than most of the folks in the third world.
If you have gotten something done in your life you have sered to do you can take it off of the list of things to do. Something to think about.
What are YOU going to do new years night? Me, not much but sleep, I go to bed early and the 1st will be just another day to me. Regardless, enjoy it to the fullest.
Prayers for the families in Bam, Iraq, for OUR President W and the troops. As always, prayers for the elderly who I might add have seen more New Years days than you have. Have a good day. Toby
