Holiday Diet Tips
1 - If no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.
2 - If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, they cancel each other out.
3 - When eating with someone else, calories don't count if you both eat
the same amount.
4 - Foods used for medicinal purposes have no calories. This includes
any chocolate used for energy, brandy, Sara Lee Cheesecake (eaten
whole), and Haagen-Daz Ice Cream.
5 - Movie-related foods are much lower in calories simply because they
are a part of the entertainment experience and not part of one's
personal fuel. This includes Milk Duds, popcorn with butter,
Junior Mints, Snickers, and Gummi Bears.
6 - Cookie pieces contain no calories because the process of breakage
causes calorie leakage.
7 - If you eat the food off someone else's plate, it doesn't count.
8 - If you eat standing up the calories all go to your feet and get
walked off.
9 - Food eaten at Christmas parties has no calories, courtesy of Santa.
10 - STRESSED is just DESSERTS spelled backward.

by Ogden Nash
It is better in the long run to possess an abcess or a tumor
Than to possess a sense of humor.
People who have senses of humor have a very good time
But they never accomplish anything of note, either despicable or sublime
Because how can anyone accomplish anything immortal
When they realize they look pretty funny doing it and have to stop to chortle.

Hi Colleen.
I did some last minute running around today.
Than we took my son and my friend (his Godmother) out to dinner.

Christmas eve
A very special time indeed
As the sun sets on Christendom
All attentions and intentions of the faithful
Hyperfocus on some ultimate intangibility
And this troubled world seems just a little less so
Some might call it mass psychological energy
Or others may simply dismiss it as a mass conditioned
Response
There can be no doubt however that
something
Something truly wonderful happens
Within the time frame of these few hours
Churches fill to capacity
A state not seen since this same time last year
Still they gather for a purpose
A time to reflect on what is,
What has been,
And what yet may come to pass
Forgiveness asked for things regretted
Appreciation for things received
And hope for future graces
All in the space of a
few
precious
hours

The path to love
is just this
a path
neither a destination
nor a goal unto itself
love is a house
constantly being remodeled
reconstructed
and developed
It is inspired by God
and also his gift to his
children
needs
times
and people
change
mutual love proves true and real
when...
the house that is built
the path that is traveled
and the children of the creator
change too

Those Christmas images are great. I love the picture of the Toy Terrier puppies. They look so precious.
While in the mall today, I stopped at the pet store to look at the puppies. I wanted to bring all five home. I had to remind myself that I wasn't really in the mall to buy anything. I was there to meet someone and to buy more wrapping paper.

That is funny!! I talked to my sister tonight. We were discussing the earthquake. I told her that I thought it was a dizzy spell until I realized everyone in the room was also having dizzy spells. It's a good thing there was no emergency.

That bad, huh?
Well my embarrassing memory was only embarrassing because at that age it doesn't take much to embarrass young girls.
