I wont even do that to my own daughter now...my parents thought it would make a good worker bee out of me.
Im not doing to my daughter what my parents did to me. God bless them both, but they were determined to keep me on their tax rolls and insurance. Was NEVER sick the entire time I was there. The students that I saw were the happiest and most successful were the ones at least partially paying their way through. I never got to invest the way I wanted to, and let slip a lot of opportunity. Plus, was told they would only pay for four years. Didnt want to take me off insurance or tax, but didnt want to let me go and earn my own money so I could determine the way I wanted my life.
Nope...NOT doing that to my daughter. It will seem harsh to her, but I am going to insist that she at least work while in school. She'll feel like she'll have invested.
