Which reminded me, I forgot to mention! - I called Dad, again, on the way to the interview, and asked him if he got the email from me.... he says "Oh yeah, that was really funny!" I say "No, not the funny one, the other one!" He says "I didn't ~get~ another one!"
Argh! So I just told him. Told him the whole thing, including having it at the beach house. He has been expecting the news, and is fine with it being at the beach house! He really likes Bruce and is happy for me, and us. Hopes we find jobs soon so money doesn't drive a wedge in a good thing. Even mentioned Mom, in an uncharacteristic way, saying it was too bad she can't be there.
When I got home I re-sent the email, and this time I know he got it, because he said:
