Almost got muhself in trouble today. Realized on my way out the door to the meetin' I had to cover that I had my Hobbit Hole knife
and my Swiss Army knife in my briefcase. Had to go thru a gubmint metal detector.
Thought about it in time to leave them safely stored away in my desk.
Then again the *snap-click* mighta been useful during the hour and a half I had to sit in the meeting only to find that my issue (that I of course was covering for someone else) has been delayed until the next meeting.

Luke has gotten an early start on computer gaming. Here he is playing "Roller Coaster Tycoon." He doesn't get the strategery, but he's taught himself most of the functions.

Oh, how annoying!
I'm going to bed before a meteor drops on my head or something else pleasant happens.

Had to go thru a gubmint metal detector. You need the "knife" in the bottom of the photo. Officially, it's a Meyerco "letter opener". All glass-filled plastic with copper beryllium springs, it's an assisted-opening device, legal in 49 states. (In Michigan, a secret opinion by the RAT attorney general decreed AO knives to be switchblades). Of course, $11 is a bit expensive for a letter opener.
If they find it by patting you down, remind them that it's a letter opener.

Actually, there are some VEY effective all-plastic blades. I carry one in my briefcase. I also have one of the middle knives, a Meyerco with a real steel blade, that I bought on a whim from a local sporting goods chain. They were selling them for about a month before they got a visit from the State Police.
