Oh! Tom DID talk about the Hobbit Hole! He tried to find us and I have to email him a link to us as soon as I get home.
I want ya'll to know that the first hug I gave him I told him was from all our posters and I got all teary eyed. He told a couple of stories which I need to type up this week and post to everybody on the list. I don't have my list with me so I'm not gonna try to do it now.
But, it did sound like his knife saved his life at least one time and it saved the lives of several of our other soldiers! Of course I also teared up upon hearing this. Our efforts saved lives of our soldiers! I have tears again!
Well, that did it for me, Sis. I'm just bawling.
I've been talking to my friend Celeste, (do I need to explain who she is anymore?)
Andrew's brother's reserve unit is in Afghanistan. Our very own Oklahoma Army Reserve, that is literally just down the street from me...the 486th Civil Affairs Battalion. I drive by them all the time and now I actually know someone that's from the group.
Anyway, for some reason, it's got me all emotional this morning. I'm gonna try to at least get him a card out this afternoon.
This is their insignia...much of it is taken from the Oklahoma state flag...
