The Road goes ever on and on

Sheesh! Nana just yelled downstairs that she had a problem in her room (took the brake off her hospital bed and couldn't get it back on).

But she flippin' YELLED down to me the whole explanation. It's not like there's three other people upstairs already asleep. And it's not like Luke's been waking up 3 or 4 times a night (Monsters Inc. was a mistake).

Sheesh!

And no, I have no idea while I'm still up.

For some reason, I decided to take this moment to go back and read the first hundred or so posts on the original hobbit hole thread.

Gads... it's been an eternity since then.

I wasn't around much on the first thread. I was still off fighting the crusades.

She just wasn't thinking. But the good thing is that, now that the Mrs. isn't so wrapped up in the production, she can pay more attention to her mom.

And...she (the Mrs.) now acknowledges how much I was doing. She calls me a saint. ;-)

g'nite. I wanna stay up and FReep or read, but I still gotta go to work in the a.m. And I'm bettin' I'm not gonna make it to the gym before work...have to go tomorrow night.

We had my grandad set up with what amounted to a hospital room in a bedroom of my dad's old house for the last year or so of his life.

He had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and it was pretty tough times.

There are some things you just do, because it's the right thing to do, about which there is no good thing to be had.

Agreed. This was the best option. But there are still adjustments to be made (on all our parts).
