They're predicting another whopper of a storm for this weekend, though I think most of it may hit NY. Still...snow is better than freezing rain! I'm just sick of shoveling, that's all.

Supposed to be cold here - very cold - so it'll just be powder. I don't mind driving in powder, not that much, then.

Ah, yes, powder's ok-ish. All of a sudden I care about how the car I drive looks! I don't want it dirty!

Sounding like we may get a LOT of snow...and another LOT of snow on Wednesday. Ruh-roh.

On the other hand, my boss is VEY happy. Snowmobile season starts on Monday.

Good morning in the new Hole! Is that the first time Jim Rob ever posted in the Hobbit Hole? I got a note of congrats when we started getting our flags from Afghanistan, but that was via freepmail.

What about Destructor? Has anyone let him know we moved?

There's just nothin' that makes me sadder than a sick child. I could never be a pediatric nurse...all I'd ever want to do is hold them, certainly not do so many of the things that are required but hurt...

I think we get Christmas Eve off. And the day after Christmas.

Not for a while, in other words. Faculty gets a lot more time off - they're off as soon as testing is done, which will be next Friday, and they don't come back until the 19th of January, as I understand it.

But we do get more time off than I've had in the past, so I'm very happy!

Huh... I'm taking two five-day weekends, myself, working the Monday and Tuesdays of Christmas and New Year's weeks.

I think that's what we get, too.

Considering the last place I worked, we got just Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and the same for New Years...that's not bad at all. I ain't complainin'!

And of course next week has something I'm looking forward to, too. What was it? Hmm... *scratching my head*

Yeah, it's hard watching him like this. Yesterday was the worst. He just stayed on the couch all day, either sleeping or watching TV. I think his fever was down a little last night and he slept thru the night.

I'm running dangerously low on annual leave time. So I'll be working between Christmas and New Years. Would normally have that off, but I need a couple of days in January for Entmoot. Plus I have an alumni board meeting at the end of January.
