Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yeah, I am sure he was feeling the heat of the stares of everyone around him. I was not pleased. I am sure the displeasure only got worse as they got closer to the scen.
I still cant figure out if he was really a hero or villain. I mean... If the guy behind him had been rude through the whole film, and he didn't take earlier warnings that we hadn't seen.... Wouldn't a part of all of us like to deck him? But then.... chances are the guy who got up and made the scene was wound a little too tight.... it is hard to say.
The cops were outside interviewing the kid that got hit when we got out. The assaulter was nowhere to be found, I am sure, having gone out the other door. That is probably why they left too.... pretty certain the cops were gonna be called.

FEAR! FIRE! FOES! AWAKE!Why I hate The Lord of the Rings
Nonetheless, Ill see Return of the King along with everybody else hankering for an ending. Whenever Im chided for being a killjoy, for nitpicking the rising torrent of illogic (love that gaping sewer hole in the middle of Helms Deep, the impenetrable fortress), or for considering the tales queasy political and social conservatism, I think of how much respect I have for the whole undertaking. And how I wish I could like it.
And there, in a nutshell, is probably why this film will not receive the recognition it deserves at the Oscars.

Well, I'm back.
But only for a moment. Steve finally went to bed so I could check in with you guys.
The movie was great...the Imax was like being engulfed in the action! The sound was so loud that my good ear has been ringing all day, but I only had to ask Steve twice what was said.
The crowd was exceptional...not a single whisper or cellphone ring. There was laughing and crying and screams in all the proper places. I literally screamed when I saw Shelob...
We got home at 4am...too tired to go to eat the pancakes with the rest of the line. There was probably 200 people in the line party at least...I didn't even make it to third place in the trivia contest...it contained a lot of stuff from the extended TTT, which I have not seen.
I did however win a gigantic Sauraman standee! I swear, it's 7' tall. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it.
I'm going to bed. Got very little sleep this morning and I'm beat. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
Good night all!

What doesn't show (although the coat sleeves are wrinkled and a bit high up) is that I'm wearing silk undies, 1 set of lightweight polypro, and 1 set of heavyweight polypro UNDER the shirt and coat. I felt like a stuffed sausage, but at least I was
sort of warm. We all wore our zip over ski pants and ski jackets until the moment we climbed on board . . . it was 33 degrees and very damp, rain threatening all morning, and a high wind (probably a steady 10 mph gusting to 15 or 20). When we crested the hill north of the clubhouse, the wind hit us like a wall. Even Gracie sort of squinched up her eyes.
It was fun, though. Looks like we've wangled an invite to another hunt Jan. 3, and this time my daughter wants to go along too. We've found her a nice reliable horse, big half TB gelding named Magnum, good jumper and very steady. He has a little more gas than Gracie (I'm wearing my spurs next time out.)

Sheesh, sorry about the second viewing festivities you had.
Maybe you need a third viewing and count that one as your second....if you make it through that one without incidence.
Here's a link to Ebay of the collectible that New Line gave away to Tuesday Trilogy goers.

We are both absolutely fine. I knew I was O.K. as soon as I rolled up (only souvenir is about a 4" bruise on my right thigh, must have rolled over a rock), but of course I was worried about Gracie 'cause she couldn't tell me if she hurt anywhere. I think she just had the breath knocked out of her, she stood up without any trouble after gathering her wits together, she stood, walked, and trotted sound, and we finished the hunt without any trouble - trotted and cantered and jumped a large fallen tree and a coop and all o.k. She was perfectly sound the next day, no heat or swelling anywhere, and I rode her tonight and she jumped everything in the ring with no hesitation. I can tell if she's even the least bit off, and she's fine all around.
I really think she just slipped on a tuft of wet grass or a slick patch of mud galloping up that hill. It was a little steep and there were some bare patches, and we had been out for two hours at that point so she was tired and going a little heavy on the forehand.
