The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Cool! I'll be interested in what you think. Wish I could see it for the first time once more!

I loved it too.

I absolutely LOVE the last hour. I was in such sensory overload I have forgotten the first two hours but I was smiling for it.

It was good! Real good.

I hasten to say that I myself am one who would prefer staying as close to the book as possible; but I also can live with diversions.

Me, too. In fact, I've grown to accept a couple of them such that yesterday when a coworker asked, "Where was Gandalf during Helm's Deep in the book", I was ashamed to admit I had forgotten. PJ's telling is pretty darn good.

I see you have found my ping. Heh... I haven't really put many thoughts together yet on it.

I went to the midnight, and we are going again to a show this afternoon.

Ok, I just gotta know- and you can just whisper the answer- do the severed heads get flung into the city? Oh and speaking of freakish and gory- did I mention that I saw Heavenly Creatures this weekend? PJ's got a twisted streak.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to find.
I could only find Jolt soda in northern NJ, and at places near the border thereof.

Good afternoon!

Eight and a half hours to go here. Ugh. But at least I got back from the client site without stalling! And I've ordered a pizza...

Mmm...pizza.

Meanwhile...I'm stranded at work. We're closed, but can't leave. We just sent one guy out to drive down the hill (we're on top of the biggest hill in town) and let us know how things are. Guinea pig. ;-)

It had BETTER clear up!

Can you walk to the theatre, if necessary?

Not from work. From home I could, though it's very slick.

But I'm ten miles away from home now.

The worst part of it is...I should be able to limp home, but so far, my Dad is still stuck with the younger kids, who he was planning on bringing in on his way to work.

So...even if I make it home, if they can't get into town, I'm not sure I can in good conscience watch the movie without them. My brother who lives in town said he will whether they're there or not...but I think it would ruin my enjoyment of it.

You should definitely go. Even if they can't. Or you'll blame them for you not seeing it, and you don't want that.

I was tempted to, instead of coming to the office at noon, stay out near the client site and go to the theatre.

Woo-hoo! Just heard from them - Dad made it into town!

And with work being closed...I can get in line vey early if it looks to be necessary. That no pre-buying tickets thing again...

What a week this has been for weather!

Yay! Looks like things are looking up!

Someone drank all the Diet Coke. Now I must go get some.

I'm gonna try to get home. I'm a little nervous about going out in this, but I guess as long as I go slow....

Dragging my beat up body out of the bed, drinking coffee, thinking about this am. . . 12:01 am until a hour that God only knows, and I smile. I am very ROTK happy. What a wonderful experience!

I won't go into much here on the regular HH thread least I spoil it for others, but I will say mstar and her house are very pleased. We are planning to go again today so I need to "get it together" so we will be able to leave in a little bit.

Alkhin, loved your FF story. Great day for posting! Today, life is good!!

Also got some pictures of Sunday's surprise visit from Flat Legolas yesterday. Yes, he showed up at her home to deliver her "Frodo Lives" tee-shirt and to make sure she made it OK to ROTK. Do hope the pictures turned out. Will post them when they are ready.

Hope you are all well! ROTK RULES!!!!

How to clean the toilet:
1. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water, and put both lids up.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. (You may need to stand on the lid.) The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. (Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.)
4. Flush the toilet three or four times. (This provides a "power-wash" and "rinse".)
5. Have someone open the door to the outside (Be sure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.)
6. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
7. The now clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself off. The toilet will be sparkling clean!

Sincerely, The Dog
