Hey, I gots a bunch of stuff to go out to that new guy. I've got the address Jonsie sent.
Can one of you walk me thru what I've got to do at the post office to make sure this gets there?
To: Sam Cree
do you know what software is required to upload waypoints from a Garmin GPS to a PC? No... dunno... but whatever it is, it's gonna come from Garmin. They'd be the ones to talk to.

The Jag is fun, but hopelessly frivolous. :-)
I'd rather do expensive stuff in a cheap car than cheap stuff in an expensive car. :-)
To: Ramius
Yes, but I can recommend that you get the Jag cause it's cheap for me if YOU do it!

I just found out that Hertz has a location at the Amtrak Station, and Enterprise Rent a Car would pick us up at the station to take us to get wheels. I'll call both of them to see if I can get a minivan. We are AAA members, so I'll go through them and get their discount. The regular price for the week is $390 but I don't think that include FL's HUGH tourist taxes! Any discount off that would be great!
So unless they're fresh out of vans when I go to make reservations, I think we're covered. Anyone coming in to the airport around 5 or 6 that WE could pick up? I'm guessing it would be about that time that we'd have the car and be on the road. All of this is assuming, of course, that Amtrak is on schedule. I'll be sure to make arrangements in advance in case it isn't!

I'm going to get a mini-van cause I was planning to be able to take myself and the kids and Rosie, Margaret and Bill to Mass on Sunday. There will be room for 4 in addition to me and the kids during any trip.

Careful with Enterprise... yes, they'll deliver a car, but YOU have to take the driver back to wherever they got the car from. If it's nearby, no big deal, but it might be a significant out-of-the-way place. Need to make sure that the return of the car is quick and easy too.... might not be...

Huh! cool! - OK Ramius! - Do you think we need more vans? or will just car do.... or...

I'm here! So what's the plan? I know I'm supposed to act "surprised and delighted" to hear from you and "when can we get together? How about lunch?"
Tippins is a pie place...nice sandwich shop pie sorta place...I like to get a soup and sandwich there...or a soup and quiche. And a piece of pie.
You got a pretty good idea how you're getting here? Coming up the Turner Turnpike from OKC, I imagine? You'll need change for the toll.

How much baggage will y'all have?... assuming we ship a box to ksen? If you guys will have just one suitcase each then we might fit in a 4-door car just fine and not have to get a van.
To: Ramius
We are sharing one big suitcase, and maybe a small carry-on each.

I checked out the Enterprise location, did a MapQuest search, and found out it is only 2 miles from the train station, so that wouldn't be a problem.

Be sure any powdered or anything that might leak is in a baggy! Make sure you tape the box up well and send it priority! Here is an example of a customs form you'll need...

Golly.... I am sitting here fighting to keep my eyes open and it is only 7! We shouldn't have done forestry today... I am worn out on my last night to try to get on a midnight movie routine!
