Yeah, but I think the rumor is a "planted" one.

I believe the director is a clean freak and wants to see all these lovely cubicles neat and tidy at the end of each day.

I'll know I'm right when they start telling us what we can and can't have hanging on our cube walls.

heh... we were told at one workplace that we weren't allowed to have personal stuff hanging in our cubes. I put up lots and lots more stuff in the subsequent weeks!

But, then, I wasn't a new employee there at the time either. Wondering if one of my old bosses is where you are!

I agree 100%! As soon as she told me that, I said that she had to be joking. You can't penalize a neighborhood to pay more for installation just because BellSouth decided to run fiber optic lines there.

All I want is your everyday, run of the mill DSL service, and instead I'm hearing that I can make 3 easy payments included on my phone bill to cover the $99.99 installation fee. *snort*

Add to that, I just found out that the mortgage has gone up almost $130.00 a month. The way things are looking, I may be looking at relocation sooner than I thought. The flood insurance went up by $150+ a year, hazard insurance by $500+ and property taxes by $200+.

And I thought I was struggling before!

I've started looking at for-rent ads in the classifieds, just in case I stay in the area... more reasonable than I thought, actually, I could probably manage it now, let alone once the semester's over and I get another raise...
