Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I wish I were taller. At least I'm not as plump as I was! Guess I'm built for child-birth, but not just yet, thanks.Being built for easy childbirth is definitely one good thing to be thankful for!!! I am glad I got that! You hear those long labor horror stories and I am just glad I never had to deal with that!

Funny story about dollar stores:
When we first moved here, we need a lot of little things to "fill out" the house. So, we went to the local dollar store that we saw on the way in, a dollar store that neither of us had ever been to before.
We end up filling our cart with what must've been $40-$50 worth of stuff. Just...stuff...you know? Autumn was with us and was very excited about some new coloring books that we got for her.
So, we get to the front to pay for it, and after the cashier rings everything up, I see the sign taped to the counter that states "Cash or check only...no plastic!".
Well, wouldn't you know...all I had on me was plastic. We left the checkbook at home, and didn't bother to get any cash out of the ATM. So, I leave everything there with Jess and Autumn and dash down the street to the walk-up ATM.
Out of service. Great!
So, I go back to the store, and tell the guy that we'll put everything back. He says not to worry, that he'll do it...so we give him teh bags. Autumn starts crying "We can't forget about our stuff! DAD! WHERE'S OUR STUFF! My coloring booooooooks!!" Crycrycrycry. I felt 2 inches high.
So, I'm trying to calm Autumn down by telling her that they didn't take Daddy's money, that I didn't have the right kind, and that we'd go back tomorrow and get everything again.
Next day, we go, get all the same stuff, cashier's ringing us out, and asks "Will that be cash or check?"
Jess says "Check", and begins filling it out.
Autumn looks at the cashier and says, "Check...because Daddy doesn't have any money!!"
Ooooh...we all got a good chuckle out of that one. I assured the cashier that we DID indeed have the money, and tried to explain it further, but I didn't think he was going to get it.

The trial started yesterday, and today was a recess day. It picks up on Monday, they say they expect closing arguments by Thursday. Therefore, by this time next week we should be getting all the juicy details huh?

I can't seem to get the portions right when I try to scale it back for only two adults.Know what you mean. I gave up on trying for the right proportions years ago. It always comes out better that way and it always freezes well! :-)

This candy I got...Horehound...says it's made from horehound tea and is soothing to the throat. Got it in a paper package and it's made by Claeys...
They are featured here.
Think he'll like it?

Sorta, not exactly. I have worked out exactly what I am going to eat when I get there though! I haven't booked a ticket yet. I might have to do that ;-)
To: Wneighbor
Yes... it should be all done by then. Details to follow! :-)
To: Ramius
I hope they're ok...I haven't latched them in yet, but their heat lamp is on.
I should go do that before drinking a cup of tea to settle my stomach...

Hey Trini!!!!
To: 2Jedismom
I have seen that but never bought any cause a)I'm not fond of the flavor of horehound and b)I have horehound growing in the herb bed so when I need it I make tea out of that.
Who did you get it for? Steve or the Jedis? I bet it tastes better than straight horehound. Let me know if it's good - I might pick some up.
And.... it might be a good thing to send to my troops!

horehound tea and is soothing to the throatWith an endorsement like that....
To: Wneighbor
*sigh* Nope, didn't get it. I refuse to pay the extra hundred bucks for installation.
The thing that ticks me off is that I can't just order the modem like everyone else. They are saying that since I have fiber optic lines, I MUST have professional installation, which I don't buy for a second.
The sad part is that Comcast doesn't offer cable internet in my neighborhood yet, so I'll have to suffer longer with dial-up until they do. I am not going to succumb to BellSouth's shakedown. I'm furious!
