Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Good!
Do you ~want~ to move?
To: ksen
Where would you have to move?
Heard anything back from that other interview?
To: GigaDittos
Yes, that lightens the heart.
I'm working on my media proposal. HA! (you may laugh and i will most certainly NOT be offended)
But, I think it's about time to visit the weld shop again. This is just too much!

lemme know what yuh think... I may look fer her CDs...The last time we saw her was so long ago they didn't HAVE CD's yet!! But we did get an album autographed!! John Henry's Hammer Coffeehouse is no longer in operation, but we saw some great shows there in a small venue. We almost always got to meet the person and say hello. We saw Michael Smith (the folk singer), Ann Hills, Garnet Rogers (Stan's brother), Rory Block, Dave Mallet (he's another one who used to tour a lot up in Maine and NH.and several other folk and blues artists.
There was another place in Westboro that had folk shows too. We took a couple who had emigrated from Ireland there once to see Tommy Makem. It was hilarious because when Hugh was talking to Tommy after the show, they learned they were from the same county in Ireland, and the more they talked, the more difficult it became to understand their English because their brogues got SO thick!! Afte that show, the guy who opened for Tommy, Tommy Sands, and another guy, who owned the club, came back to Hugh and Mary's and we all drank Irish Coffee and chatted until 5 am!! SSQ kept running home (about 5 mins. away) to check on the kids. Our oldest was 15 at the time, so they were fine, all asleep, in fact. That was a fun night.

No. I didn't use any kind of language that even came close to what I used in the rant. I am still a G.R.I.T.S.! There was, however, quite strong debate over the realism of these expectations.

Why does this thread need a purpose? A just question, my liege!

Hmmm, would I want to move? I don't know, I probably wouldn't care one way or the other. I hear VA is a pretty state, but I don't know what it is like up around Washington.
If I moved it would need to be in commuting distance to Hell, er, I mean the capitol.
As far as the other job is concerned they haven't done any moving on it yet. I would love to score that one, but time is ticking and my bills aren't getting any smaller.....

Oh! I forgot to mention that I have strict orders not to involve the director of marketing for the college. And when I asked about it all I got was both the deans looking at one another saying, "no, we don't want to involve her." In the immortal words of Pete, "That don't make NO sense"!
To: RosieCotton
I like a lot of his music. "Northwest Passage", for one.One of SSQ's favorites is "White Collar Holler"!

And the deans answered in almost perfect synchronicity -- Only a fool looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.
