Not terribly.

But, then, I don't think too much stuff is terribly spicy.

Cept heavy on the habaneros.

I'm just so in to spicy lately.

Why did you get a new 'puter? Just 'cause?

heh...Mine are tortured every morning when I crack open a new can.

Speaking of kitties. When we moved, the previous owner asked us if we would mind keeping her cat, Shelby. I didn't have a problem with it whatsoever, but naturally, Shelby was VEY skittish and shy, and wouldn't even let us get close to her. She would only come out at night to eat, after we've all gone to bed. It started to worry me that she was so timid, after all, how would I be able to trim her nails or take her to the vet if she would come near us?

Well, I'm glad to say that last night, while Jess was working, Shelby and I had a breakthrough. It took about 20 minutes, but she eventually came over to me and let me pet her while I was watching TV upstairs, and Autumn had gone to sleep. Poor kitty was so starved for attention that she was literally salivating on my hand when she'd rub up against it (almost violently!). Hopefully, it's a sign of good things to come!

She's white with black spots...looks like a little cow.

Home-made ice cream is the BEST! One of the most vivid memories of my childhood was making ice cream with my mom in the summer time.

(It should come as no surprise that many of my most favorite memories involve food. lol)

You teach animation?

Hand-drawn, or flash/maya/dreamweaver type stuff?

I like things that stand the test of time. This thing has obviously been used a lot, but it's still doing what it was designed to do. So few things are that way nowadays...it's a throw-away society, so to speak.

She still wouldn't let me pick her up, but I'm hoping tonight she will.

Yes, I love cats.

There...I said it.

Man o man that is so cool. I have recently wished I had one of those too. Just not the same with the modern ones. You know? Electric.

No kidding...it's growing more and more difficult to actually get things repaired nowadays. In most cases, it's become cheaper to just throw it out and buy a new one.

Our old VCR (which was first mine when I was 16, and is now Autumn's) conked out on us a few weeks ago. I took it to a repair shop, and he wanted to charge me $95 to fix it.

Wal-mart sells VCR's as low as $30. Guess which option I took (against my heartfelt wishes, admittedly).

I really wanted to keep that thing, but there wasn't a sound financial reason to.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Say, look at this! I found it on Ebay and I thought mine looked pretty much like it! I went and examined the black crank and sure enough! It's been spray-painted black...you can see the original green paint under it in spots!

Do you think it could seriesly be from the 40s???

Huh... nostalgia for old tech isn't something I've got yet. Unless books count, I have books that I don't want to replace because they have memories for me.

lol...I'm nostalgic for things that were created and enjoyed long before I was even born...if that's possible...lol I have an old 50's style wash-bin and wash-board that I snagged from a yard sale ($1.50!). Right now, it's in the basement, but as soon as the warmer weater hits, I'll be putting them on the wall on the porch.

I'm convinced I was born about 30/40 years too late.

I really wish someone would deliver the milk to my door like in the old days...that would help me out a LOT!

Speaking of which, I gotta go. The jedis want cookies and I need brown sugar to make them. I'm out.
