We let Wneighbor off at the curb. Hugs all around. Wneighbor leaves before she starts crying. FYI - in only 2 steps WN was crying like a baby. Ended up running down the cell phone battery crying on the phone to Ruthy while she was driving home! :-(

Yowsers! Thats SOME ice! I hate having to deal with ice on the roads, etc, but seeing ice glinting off the branches of trees in the full sun; looks like diamonds!!

Well, I am havin' a nice visit with my favorite aunt. She had to hear all about the harrassing canines. Even though they are the ones with the pit bull and have had neighbors complain they do know what is right and wrong about dog ownership. Course, they are country folks too. She thinks the dogs oughtta be in the ground already too. And she's a mega-critter-lover.

Aunt Cheryl did say point out that in Texas the laws say you gottaright to shoot anything like that but here in Texas it is illegal to shoot buffalo out of a second story window.
Oh, and it's against the law to milk your neighbor's cow.
Her hubby is my uncle that's the judge. She's full of good info. :-)

Aunt Cheryl is sittin' here with me and saw your post. I told her if I read it right now I'd start cryin' again. She said, "Well, don't read it right now!" But, I did anyway. I didn't cry cause we're havin' a nice visit.

When we bought the air rifle, I called the town police dept. to see if there were any restrictions on shooting it. He just said "use common sense"! Yeah, we can do that! We set up a target in the back yard; it's over 200 feet past the target before the property line of the house in back of us, so there's not a problem about hitting someone else. We've been tempted to shoot at some of the annoyingly LOUD crows! Gateway, the cat, has sorely tried our patience, too, but we've restrained ourselves and kept to tin cans and wine bottles!

Well. I'm gonna funkle and then disconnect for a while. Aunt Cheryl needs to check her email and we've got a roast in the oven. Back in a little bit.

Oh my..I am going throught some memories in the '70's section on NetFlix.
I picked up Ice Castles, the film about the ice-skating girl. That was a good film!
