The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Lookie here missy, after reading your profile, If I were 10 years younger I'd take you for whirl so long as you brought the fiddle and madolin. We could jam some Celtic.

That's right, go on over to the dark side! You KNOW the finest single women in the world frequent the Hobbit Hole. :-)

Roger that. That sort of bitterness just eats people up, male or female.

One of my best friends was seriously emotionally burned by his ex-wife. I've known both of them since the 6th grade. He was off in the Navy on a WestPac and came back to find her having an affair with his best friend on the base (not me, really).

He has not dated even once since the divorce. The bitterness toward ALL women is amazing. This was in 1990. He refuses to ever trust a woman again. Kinda' sad, really.

FWIW - I think you're cousin would prolly appreciate your sentiments there. My mom would be acting the same way yours is. Of course you know, I can ignor mine easier. She's 250 miles away! :-)

Awwww! Take her for a whirl anyhow! (wondering what a ~whirl~ is, exactly) - Maybe it would make you ~feel~ ten years younger!

It has arrived! Thank you so much.

Don't foget, it's from the entire Hobbit Hole. I just did some of the clerical stuff.

This is meant for everyone, I don't have my ping list here.

Msdrby asked me to open the box using my Sting:

Anticipation:

Awww, they're happy now:

;-)

Do you play an instrument?

We've got the makings of a decent Celtic band here in the Hobbit Hole...plus a coupla trombones...not sure if we could make those fit...

Yes, it is. And a damn fine waste of a decent man.

Hey, about half of all single male Freepers seem to think it's the only way to go.

Those same FReeper males would be just as happy with an American bride if they could find one that would be happy living with her mouth duct-taped shut.

I play guitar, bass, harmonica and vocals.

As soon as I get a drum I'll be able to have a one man band.

Heh - that's about it!

Did you see the guy yesterday who gave a rundown of every time his wife had burned food, used the wrong ingredients, or otherwise didn't cook a good meal? I thought he was joking, or admitting she did have her cute side...but you know, I think he was serious?

I mean c'mon! Shared disasters are part of what make a relationship, IMO!
