Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

hey, I'm on... sorta. Hey! Posting from the boys' computer?
I still have dinner if you guys want any...and ice cream.
Not a bad screenname, if not very interesting....

Ok...here is how I'm keeping it in my recipe file. Anything to add? (I changed it to 350 because my oven runs really hot).
Hot Wings by Overtaxed
Bake wings in the oven at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes. Turn halfway and bake until they're done.
For every pound of chicken wings, melt in a saucepan:
Tabasco 1½ tbsp
vinegar 1½ tbsp
butter 1tbsp
Toss chicken wings in sauce. Serve with blue cheese dressing.

That was one of my favorite days, though I missed everyone. Very laid back, like vacation should be.
Rosie and her siblings and Wneighbor are talking about different things
.SATs, country music, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks (
.and Jens missing it!)
Heh...I'm not sure we did a very good job of bringing her up to speed during Entmoot, did we? She didn't even watch Casablanca!
That was also Bakshi day number one, though. Maybe it WASN'T such a good day...

Mmmmm!
I haven't had anything since the fish fillets...thinking of just popping some corn.

Maybe it WASN'T such a good day... After that I thought that I was becoming an alcoholic. You know....when you just have to have a drink!

I had chicken drumsticks simmered in red wine and broth (well...bouillon) with plenty of spices (I sauteed onions and garlic first, and then put in lots of sage and thyme and a little rosemary), rice with some of the broth from the chicken, which thickened a bit and was vey tasty, and a vegetable mix - broccoli and green beans and mushrooms.
Not bad for a very inexpensive meal!

You know...I think Bilbo is getting the impression that about three-quarters of what we talk about here is just food..not that there's anything wrong with that! ;-)
To: RosieCotton
I made a soup from the chicken carcass I rendered yesterday. It's good, but I'm wanting more and thinking maybe popcorn would be just the ticket.
To: RosieCotton
It sounds delicious!
I should have cooked something...I've got all that pork!

I'm ok with not being up to speed. After all, I don't have room for all that and my Tolkien-knowlege!
Going to go home soon and sketch out the first draft of this story due next week.... hmm... I'm being assailed by guys with wings, is that symbolic enough for a writing class?

You owe me that German potato salad recipe at some point!

Sigh... but you know... I think those wings, in Escaflowne, were kinda sexy.
Um, is that freaky?

I'm planning on picking that book up this weekend.

So I'm a little twisted. It's not like there are any really, so not much chance of my throwing myself at one. Right?
