The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

A whole cottage industry has grown up around these lights ... there's a festival every Labor Day weekend.

Maybe we should all travel out there to the festival this year! :-)

<nudge, nudge>

<wink, wink>

Well done, Mistress Magic!

I had considered attending Sul Ross at one time. Just cause I like being out there so much. I love those high deserts! MMMmmm. Nothing like 'em!

One of Grama's cousins was a park ranger at Big Bend. We went out every couple of years when I was growing up. I have always loved it there.

Do you have any vacation? I have 3 weeks off in May. This is only a tentative suggestion depending on finances, but, reckon you and Bear might like a trip out there about that time?

LOL!!!

Well, I guess my mind is so far gone I'm not remembering posts from only a few minutes ago!

First I think we could go to the festival and then I suggest May!

I would only be able to go for the 3 day weekend Labor Day though. And it is a day's drive for me from here. In May I would have more days to spend there. :-)

Of course I should also have a week off in November. That area is nice at that time of year too!

Well, tentatively, we're scheduling a trip to my mom's house in Michigan at the end of May, so I don't know if we'd be able to do both trips in May. Nothing firm right now though, so plans may change.

I guess we could both put that trip on the "well maybe" list then. Cause I don't know what my situation will look like then either.

But, we have made a step! We have been talking about this for a year. The excursion has finally made it from talking to the first mention of a time. We must not be hasty of course!

Love reading the Chronicles of Entmoot, but I cannot take credit for the scrumptious sauce that went on the bowtie pasta. I was just the kitchen grunt that night. g'nad and the missus made that sauce, I just stood there and stirred it, but I guess they also serve who only stand and stir!

I'll have Clare post an answer to your question in the morning. She is SUPPOSED to be in bed, but my guess is she's still online. When I'll go upstairs, give her your request, then run her to bed!

They say that everybody eats an average of one spider in their sleep every year.

Oh yeah, that'll help us sleep well!

When I was pregnant with Myranda he was really into rattlesnake handling.

So your Daddy's a snake chunker?

no worries... remember that's just an *average*. There are some years when you don't eat any spiders at all!! :-)

Averages are funny, that way... :-)
