Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Which one? We have The Maltese Falcon, which I have never seen before.
To: Endeavor
Hi!
I am in the northwest and it was rainy and snowy last week. Usually she is stabled at night, but last week she was at a friend's house where she was out with a run-in shelter she probably seldom used. This is the only patch like this on her.
To: ecurbh
I like Maltese Falcon. Good story with better dialogue. Many of the same actors as Casablanca.
To: ecurbh
Yeah, that's the one I meant. It's good! You'll recognize people from Casablanca in it.

Just above her tailhead, if you drag your fingers through her hair, do you get any small clumps of hair come off? Also, is their debris interlocked within the clump that came off up by the ear - in the matt of hair, or did it come out just a few pieces at a time, or did you just find it gone? Is the skin normal looking (no sores, cracking, scaling, debris-ridden) or is it like tanned leather?
To: Ramius
Oops...read before posting.
I like Dashiell Hammett's books, too (Maltese Falcon is one of 'em), though they were rather on the violent side.
To: Endeavor
The skin looks good.... not even too dry... She is blanketed, so she is slick and dry under her blanket at her tailhead.
On her ear, the flap of dead skin came off mostly as one piece.... like a healing freeze brand does. New skin underneath.
in the picture, up toward her mane there is a patch there where the hair is not laying flat.... that feels a little rough like it may peel too.

though they were rather on the violent side. ...as compared to... Tolkien??? :-)

I said "anime" - which means Japanese - and "worth spending money on" - which means, not THAT.

Not that I remember. It's been a while since I made it last.
To: Endeavor
This pic might show what the skin looks like better.
I dunno what she did!!
To: JenB
Everytime I see "anime" I'm thinking "amine".

What was the one with the space ship that looked like a submarine?
To: Overtaxed
hehehe... but that would be... different.
To: HairOfTheDog
No, that was Marine Boy. And... it was a submarine that looked like a spaceship.
To: Ramius
...as compared to... Tolkien??? :-) Well...in Tolkien wounded people die. In Hammett, they are locked in a room and kicked around for weeks while infection sets in.
Good books, though.
To: Ramius
Hehehe...cartoons only a labrat can love...
Mmmmm.....Irish coffee....even though it is decaf.
