The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Oh, and yeah...as soon as we got to my van, everyone immediately yelled "Van-sama!" I think I'm gonna be stuck with that for awhile.

Heh! That's great. Did you have to explain to the non-initiated what the heck was going on?

Elf-boy is expirimenting with his electro-magnet. He has discovered that sparks occur when the battery is connected. He is now busy making lightning. I can hear it on my computer speakers.

Isn't it wonderful when they start making explosions and such?

I get to pick up my car today... it's all fixed. Then, up to school for books and such.

Hey good morning everybody! We (hair and ecurbh and I) are safely back! We got in late last night.

Flight was long but mostly uneventful except for the guy that was sitting next to me that got met by security when we landed in Denver. Still don't know why really, other than he was angry at one of the crew for something.

Having coffee [sip] and showing pictures. Hair and ecurbh are still here but leaving shortly to go get the horses.

'Morning!

I'm catching up on ballgames (We beat GT! Go Team!), doing some laundry, cleaning, and paying attention to Miss Cat.

Morning! Glad you're back safe... my flight was very bumpy and full of screaming children but otherwise uneventful.

Glad to see you guys got back ok! Sounds like you all had a wonderful time.

Has anyone heard from Wneighbor?

Corin! Good heavens about falling through the ceiling! Pity you didn't get it on video...you could sell it to AFHV or something. Thankfully you are all right, but I'm convinced it wouldn't have happened if you had The Shoes on.

Steve is off with the boys...Pine Wood Derby.

I found this on one of my many Geeks R Us sites:

Very cool! I found the scene and made a jpg of it... unfortunately my DVD drive software doesn't let me zoom in on the scene, so the names are hard to read... click on the image to view it full size!

Here's a pic of the scrolling menu:

(super-geek bonus question) Can you spot the mistake in one of the names on the menu?

I'm washing clothes too...loads and loads, since the sun hasn't been out in days and everything has backed up. I'm taking them to the laundromat here in a bit.

I'm also planning on wiping down my hall walls...there gets this line of grime right down the middle where hands must be drug along the wall as one ambles down the hall.

I'm doing sheets and blankets now. Fun. Trying to get everything in its place in the living room and listening to the Maryland game. Ksen said UNC was winning that night he took Jen and Rosie to the pub so there is hope.

As a geek, I don't need to know the order ... just fire up my search engine and find out! <laughing!>

The proper firing order for a small-block Chevy (so called because of its compact design) is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, where the cylinders are numbered 1-3-5-7 front to rear left and 2-4-6-8 front to rear right, left and right as you sit behind the wheel.

Passenger Driver
8 7
6 5
4 3
2 1
