Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

My mom and dad were on their way to Texas this morning to visit my little brother. The gas pedal on the truck broke...a bolt or something and they couldn't accelerate...the truck (a great big diesel Ram 3500...g'nad's seen it) just rolled to a stop.
Whew. Personally, if my car is gonna break, I'd just soon it rolled to a stop and didn't get stuck accelerating or something! They have a great big gooseneck trailer attached.
They had a major accident a few years back...hydroplaned and the trailer whipped around and struck them on the side of their truck...ended up on their side in a ditch...demolished both the truck and the trailer, but they were uninjured.
T'was a big big truck.

LOL...sorry thought everyone knew what that was.
You get 'em at AppleBees Neighborhood bar & grill. Menu reads:
Mud Slide
Bury your sweet tooth with smooth Kahlúa, creamy vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and rich Hershey's chocolate syrup.
and of course ***freaky weather related accident***

Glad to hear they're OK. Prolly a minor fix and they'll be rolling again. It's raining cats and dogs down here BTW.

They are coming home. Were going down to Houston for their youngest granddaughter's birthday.
The repair place is doing a quicky fix on it and they are going to bring it home to have it repaired proper.

Well, I've got the floor mopped, the front of the house dusted and the glass items cleaned with windex. It's looking like it's back to it's fabulous "pre-holiday" self.
I ran out of steam however. I am having a grilled cheese, some leftover green casserole and a coke.
After I finish eating, I'm gonna clean up in the computer room. It's a disaster, because I pulled all kinds of stuff out looking for things to help me with my computer when it crashed. Just need to tidy it all up a bit.
Then it's on to the bedrooms, where I intend to wash the linens (it's Friday...linen day). The master bedroom is good...just need to dust and vacuum. The boys room needs just a bit of replacing of items.
All told, things aren't in bad shape...just need to catch up a bit.
The floor was bothering me the most that I hadn't cleaned it...now that's done! What a weight off my mind.

CB has me somewhat pegged, I do get kinda weirder on Fridays.
But, so do the rest of us on that thread.
Though that usually isn't so noticeable.
