Yes, it is, and I have so much more research to do other than my family's version. Funny, they never mentioned the other brother, Mack, when my Aunt Thelma told the story. He must have became a black sheep in the family. LOL

I've really enjoyed the discoveries I've made in my family research. My favorite story is of my grandpa's great-grandfather who crossed the Cumberland Gap with Daniel Boone. He was captured by the Shawnee. They were a brutal tribe and few white men who were captured survived. They found him to be so entertaining that they kept him for 5 years and released him. In an unrelated incident, his young son was also captured by the Shawnee and later released.
