Four brothers left home for college, and they became successful doctors and lawyers - and prospered. Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the gifts that they were able to give that year to their elderly mother who lived far away in another city.
The first said, "I had a big house built for Mama."
The second said, "I had a hundred thousand dollar theatre built in the house."
The third said, "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver her an SL600."
The fourth said, "Listen to this. You know how Mama loved reading the Bible and you know she can't read it anymore because she can't see very well. I met this priest who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire Bible. It took twenty priests 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the church, but it was worth it. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it."
The other brothers were impressed.
After the holidays Mom sent out her Thank You notes. She wrote:
"Milton, the house you built is so huge. I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway."
"Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home, I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes. The thought was good. Thanks."
"Michael, you give me an expensive theatre with Dolby sound, it could hold 50 people, but all my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture just the same."
"Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to give a little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you."

Toulouse again
Thread is kind of dead, so think I'll zap my taquitos,
and call it a day...I'm sitting in that same old chair as Toulouse was
with a laptop on my lap...lol
Room is a little different now though, no woman to keep it neat...
Anyway, Goodnight all, take care...Mañana
.....Westy....
To: westmex
*LOL* Toulouse looks so silly.

What an adorable pic..
Thanks so much for that Mex. food link Westy.. There are some really good things there. I have booked it.. ;) My whole family is so upset because Old El Paso has discontinued their Mex-Beans. We all loved them.. They were so much better than the refried. I'm not a great lover of them.. Oh well.. There are subsitutes, but not any where as good as Old El Paso's were..
I use the salsa on that website, and have for years..with fresh fried tortilla chips.. It's the greatest. They sell it here in jars as well as the cans. I will link to it when I get a chance.. It tastes the closest to homemade..
To: westmex
This is the great Salsa, but get the Casera type.. The other might be too hot for most people..(but maybe not)
http://mexgrocer.com/1455.html They also have some good recipes.. yum.. ;)
To: westmex
I love this recipe.. It's especially good for a hangover.. lol So they say in Mexico.. I know it's good for curing the soul...;) This is like a thick Chicken Tortilla soup.. You can also make it in layers like a cassarole..and bake it in the oven.. Either way it's the nuts..
http://www.mexgrocer.com/337-chickenchilaquiles.html I would use the crumbly Mex. cheese on the top tho.. The stuff that looks like Greek Feta.. The name escapes me..

If the cat somehow finds a can of catnip beer and pirates the TV remote, you're in trouble.

Do you know what happened this week in California back in 1850?
California became a state.
The state had no electricity.
The State had no money.
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gun fights in the streets.
So basically, it was just like California today, only the women had real
tits.
