"To avoid being tempted by forbidden fruit, stay away from the devil's orchard."

Excellent message!

Thank you for bringing coffee and a prayer to start our day!

Good Morning, Meekie!!
Winter is really on its way. There was awhile that I wasn't so sure.
The mornings are now damp and getting cool enough that you want to stay in bed for another hour.
Tell Carl that the refills are really appreciated.

Contentment comes as the infallible
result of great acceptances, great
humilities--of not trying to make
ourselves this or that, but of
surrendering ourselves to the fullness
of letting life flow through us.

A band that I like, and maybe a song that has some strange arcane meaning for me?
Only the shadow knows.

Radiohead - Creep

When you were here before, couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel, your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You're so very special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the h#ll am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts, I want to have control
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so very special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the h#ll am I doing here?
I don't belong here

Oh, Oh, She's running out
She's running out....
Run, run, run, rrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuun...
Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnn...

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so very special
I wish I were special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the h#ll am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here.

Evening, all!

Sonnet 138
By William Shakespeare

When my love swears that she is made of truth
I do believe her though I know she lies,
That she might think me some untutored youth
Unlearned in the world's false subtleties.
Thus vainly thinking that she thinks me young,
Although she knows my days are past the best,
Simply I credit her false-speaking tongue;
On both sides thus is simple truth suppressed.
But wherefore says she not she is unjust,
And wherefore say not I that I am old?
O, love's best habit is in seeming trust,
And age in love loves not to have years told.
Therefore I lie with her, and she with me,
And in our faults by lies we flattered be.

Husbands for Sale . . .

A store that sells husbands has just opened in Ottawa where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men. The store is comprised of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights.

There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building.

So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband.
On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs.
The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better
than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's further up?" So up
she goes.

The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love, kids.
The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's
further up?" And up she goes again.

The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 -
These men have jobs, love kids and
are extremely good looking.
"Hmmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"

The fourth floor sign reads:
Floor 4 -
These men have jobs, love kids,
are extremely good looking and
help with the housework.
"Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there must be more further up!" And again she heads up another flight.

The fifth floor sign reads:
Floor 5 -
These men have jobs, love kids,
are extremely good looking,
help with the housework
and have a strong romantic streak.
"Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me further on?" So up to the sixth floor she goes.

The sixth floor sign reads:
Floor 6 -
You are visitor 3,456,789,012 to this floor.
There are no men on this floor.
This floor exists solely as proof that
women are impossible to please.
Thank you for shopping Husband Mart
and have a nice day.

LOL! Now where have I heard this before? Billy Shakespeare sure had things figured out, didn't he?

Nice photo, too!
