My point was simply that looking at all of the material from EOM and what had been said by and about him/her/them/it did not pass my smell test. FWIW although I'm new to this board I've been around the Internet since, well, before it was the Internet - back when it was known as Arpanet and Usenet (early to mid 70's). I've seen an awful lot of stuff go by in different forums, and a high percentage of what's on the net is pure BS. I think the logorrhea from EOM is a prime example.
However, that having been said I don't think the concerns about the next 4 to 6 weeks are unfounded - far from it. There have been a number of things said by members of al-Qaeda that should cause concerns during this time frame, plus the time period around 2 February and 20 February of this year would have particular interest from some Islamic eschatological points of view. (Another of my interests is both Christian and non-Christian eschatology, about both of which I feel I'm reasonably well-read). And you don't have to believe all or even any of that in order to understand how it could be affecting people's actions.
Some of the other things that have been posted are much more interesting and useful than EOM's latest drivel.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why some of us (me included, initially, tho I am backing off on this now) have been SO concerned with "EOM" and his/her posts/JPGs.
I, too, have been involved with the 'net since it's inception. And I also have seen STRANGE things that have no bearing to reality.
IMHO, we are all paying WAY too much attention to "EOM", who doesn't even have to register with the board he posts on. I could go there RIGHT NOW and create a post with the name "EOM". So why are we all even spending a few seconds of our valuable time talking about posts over there? I just don't get the fascination/concern.
If AQ comes out DIRECTLY, via a credible source (eg: Al Jazeera) and makes a DIRECT threat, I will take it seriously.
EOM does not fall into that category in my book. For all we know, he/she is a pimply faced teenager yankin' some chains.
The gov't is on Yellow. IF there were nukes (no doubt there may be, but I don't think so now), we would be at RED. Can you guys imagine the HUGE political fallout of not being? This ALONE makes me think the nuke angle is BUNK, tho I do not discount the possibility of these AT SOME POINT (just not now) falling into the hands of AQ via corrupt Soviet black market forces.
