Bagpipes! Ha, now there is truly an instrument designed to elicit extreme agitation and torture (running, laughing, ducking...).

HC, better not let my Dad hear you saying that! Any occasion is the perfect occasion to bring out the bagpipe CD's...8^)

P.S. He doesn't hear very well at all, so the neighbors get to enjoy the bagpipe merriment as well! I am sure they are overjoyed...

My great uncle was in the Black Watch.
He played the pipes til the end. He'd go off across the lake and pace back and forth along the dam.

Beautiful, but eery and haunting.

Unless he was drinking, then he'd play martial music and we kids would put kettles on our heads and shoulder our toy guns and march around banging on pots and pans.
