Not my area of expertees. I do know that there is one very very close to NYC. I have read that before.

I have also read here that there is no way that they could evacuate long island in anything even resembling a quick way.

LILCO started building a nuke plant in Shoreham but never finished it. The problem with Long Island is there is no way to evacuate it. If NYC had an 'event' and the wind was blowing east there is no way out.
