Thanks, jstolzen; I bookmarked the site to read in full later. I did scan the site and some of what is there has been here and on other sites before. Bodansky and his views are well respected by many on this board, I would venture to say. I, for one, have always found his views interesting, just hard to understand on tv! It is much better to read what he says because of his accent. I think it is good to throw all the possibilities on the table.

As an aside, I would say that you should not worry. Just be prepared as you would for any potential emergency, were it storm or terror related. The purpose of these threads is to help people prepare and keep an eye on things, not have their blood pressure raised unnecessarily. But I guess we all have different personalities. What brings comfort to some of us may accomplish the opposite in others.

For me, I like to entertain all possibilities and I have a need to know; I am that way about everything. I have an unsatiable curiosity and a mind that will not turn off, especially in matters of politics and religion and now, national security. But things like national security never worry me because it is the knowledge and awareness that I seek that gives me what I crave. I think if I had the knowledge and awareness of GWB, I would sleep like an absolute baby! But none of my family members are like me in this way. They do not care to know about this in any depth. On the other hand, I want to know what may happen before it happens even if it never happens.

One thing that this piece shows is that the dems -- the dem-controlled NYS Assembly in this case -- are not prioritizing NY's terror efforts. It's gotta be enormously difficult to have the full insight into what's "really" going on - the full scope of the threat. AND, having responsibility for the welfare of nearly 300 million Americans.
