Severnaya - a "Golden Eye" or key was used at a base called Severnaye (base or town, I don't know) that would trigger a satellite that would shoot a lazer beam at any point on the globe producing EMP that would kill all electrical circuits. The "bad guys" had a stolen helicopter that was EMP proof.
I don't know if "Severnaya" is also a place name, but I recognize it as the feminine nominative singular form of the Russian adjective "severnyj," meaning "northern."
Somebody mentioned Bojinka, which is apparently a word in Serbocroatian. The Slavic languages are pretty close to one another. Does Serbocroatian also have a form identical to or close to Russian "severnaya"?
