Reliable and serious. My guess: the terrorists are waiting and trying to find the "leak" in their system. As soon as our side tires of the cancellations and seraches, they'll strike. I think the threats are deadly serious and that we may never learn how many plots have been foiled.

I am just wondering about why those flights?

If they don't find anyone on board, could it be that some AQ are hiding somewhere with a missile to shoot it down upon take-off? Or are they going to try to hide a nuke onboard? There are way too many scary possibilities -- and as you said, it must be something very serious, or they wouldn't keep canceling the flights, like this.
