I wonder why those explosions you mentioned weren't reported? If you see an article somewhere, please share the link.

I never saw an article. That I know of there were no articles. The person who reported it lives right near the State Department.She was on the telephone talking to her spouse at the Pentagon when the 'explosion' happened. Maybe it was a plane breaking the sound barrier. However, If you look on the FR threads from 9/11 there were a number of freepers in DC who reported strange stuff that day. I don't remember the specifics but I think it was down on the Mall and by the Supreme Court Building.
