We just noticed the last week the newest buzz word "chatter". Where did that come from? I know it used in association with terrorist chatter. But it is reletively new for the talking news heads.

Wouldn't surprize me if it was swiped off of FR and now in the mainstrean media. Just curious.

It's not a new term...it's been used at least since 9-11 by the media (that I'm aware of) and long before that by agencies that monitor "chatter."
