Wow. I just saw another thread with this story. Looks like NBC is reporting it. You and all of the other investigative Freepers on this thread were way ahead of the curve on this one. Hopefully they are on top of things and will continue to foil any further terror attempts.
Well let's go to the OFFICIAL Department of Homeland Security Site and see what's going on:
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
http://www.dhs.gov and then let's stop off at the U.S. State Department and peruse their travel warnings and current public announcements:
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE: TRAVEL WARNINGS AND PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS
http://travel.state.gov/travel_warnings.html Now let's check these daily reports at
NIPC.gov
http://www.nipc.gov/dailyreports/dailyindex.htm Ok, wander over to the FBI site and click on the press room for
the latest press releases:
FBI.gov
http://www.fbi.gov and now, go to FREEREPUBLIC.com
and see what's going on
FREEREPUBLIC.com
http://www.freerepublic.com and finally, a quick check to see what's new on
my links of interest list:
LINKS OF INTEREST:
http://www.truthusa.com/LinksOfInterest.html OPINION: While other sites may be more interesting, startling, and possibly just as credible (if not more credible) than these links as listed above; I love SOURCED material that directly REFERS to a specific source url.
For example, in my LINKS OF INTEREST you can directly click on to links that interest you and get the straight scoop and/or propaganda straight from the source.
A fine research site on jihad is MEMRI.org - MIDDLE EAST MEDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE (
http://www.memri.org ).
Not only can you read an article about a jihad event/group/person, at the bottom of each MEMRI.org article are wonderful footnotes that you can click on which links directly to the source of the article information.
Memri is just one example. Haganah Internet (
http://internet-haganah.us/haganah ) is another example of a web site putting jihad info out along with the source of their information. There are other good examples, but for brevity's sake, this is my opinion.
