The keyword was ILLEGALS; What about legal citizens who have exhausted their unemployment and who desperately need work (losing their homes, cars, no food on the table who just happen to live at our borders?) Not welfare, but real jobs for real people and the possibility of apprehending people sneaking into our country via our open borders.

Also, Why not remove or sharply reduce foreign aid to countries that harbor terrorists. We could demand they turn over terrorists we know live within their nations and if they refuse, we remove some or all of the foreign aid dollars they are given annually (Remember Saddam had a stash of it when captured - it is obviously of SOME value to those who hate us). Why not use some of these funds (and we are talking billions of dollars) to beef up our security and protect ourselves from the people these nations appear to be harboring. Did I mistakenly hear our President say THEY ARE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST Us? If so, eliminating foreign aid to countries that don't support us (France and Germany among them) could very well fund border patrols and shipping container inspections. Okay, off my rant now. I promise to be less verbose.

Theys are religious zealots. Only their interpretation of their founding documents as translated through Bin Laden means much of anything to them. And, they are willing to DIE for that.
