So, what do you think the guy taking pictures, was up to? I've been through that area, at different times in life, and there is just nothing of interest to see. Full of plants, hard working people, smoke stacks, just America at work and minding it's own business. Lot's of good looking men wearing jeans and hard hats, going to work or home to their families. NOTHING to attract a tourist.

There could be another reason for that guy's interest in anhydrous ammonia. There is a lot of money to be made reselling stolen anhydrous ammonia to manufacturers of crystal meth.

Given the terrorist issues, taking pictures might be perceived as gathering intel for a future action. I was taking pictures last week too, but they are for presentation to a working group in Chicago next week. My wife and kids haven't ever seen pictures of the research caboose, coal cars and power plant where I have been working over the past few months. A picture of the caboose and one of the huge hyperbolic cooling towers is below. This plant burns 1000 pounds of coal per second. One of the 5 research coal cars is immediately to the right.

So when you visit foreign countries, don't you always put on your agenda to visit chemical manufacturing plants? I thought it was a travel prerequisite./sarcasm
