After discussing this with the head scientist at USGS, he said the forces in a volcano are much more than any force a nuke could put out. I don't know how exactly true it is, but it sounds plausible. Especially with Yellowstone. There will be several massive earthquakes before it blows. Probably some of the strongest we've ever seen. What I worry about though is causing earthquakes with nukes. I've seen one report from people that actually tested this exact scenario. If I remember correctly, they said test was inconclusive. Mostly that the possibility is there, but it's very small. I wouldn't doubt anyone would try though. About this Severnaya earthquake...how far from it was it? I didn't catch that. It was 10,000 feet deep. Sounds about right for a natural earthquake, but I also saw it was underwater? It seems natural but I don't know. It just seems beyond any terrorist's capabilities to actually know how to trigger earthquakes or volcanoes if our own scientists have a hard time doing it. I would think it would take alot more than sticking a nuke somewhere and letting it off.

Smuggling a nuke to do damage is pretty hard. There are other technologies that could be employed. Especially considering the resources of unemployed former Soviet scientists. Put your tin foil hat on and check out this article from Tom Bearden on scalar weaponry based on the work of Nicola Tesla.

Hello S.C.

My thoughts on attempting to set it off, was to use a natural vent or cave, underground for setting off the explosive. It might not cause it to form a nice cone on the top, but it would sure shake things up and possibly cause it to blow out the side.

In the beginning it was for a work of fiction, but after being told that it wouldn't work, have watched and read enough to think that it could be done.

Don't sell the terrorist short, they have money and that will buy the finest knowledge, they say everyone has a price that they will sell their soul for.

I listened to the late news (radio) say that the security for the Columbia landing was many times more than normal, because of the fear of terrorists firing on it, a few hours later our space ship came down in pieces.

Tonight, I listened to Richard Hoagland say that the Mars computer was acting like someone had sent it a program that was defeating ours. Yes, on Coast to Coast, no, I am not a fan of Richards, as a rule will turn him off.

But the thought had already crept into my mind, so it wasn't difficult to listen to someone else who agreed with me.

I haven't followed the Severnaya earthquake.

There is a volcanic mountain that I see out my kitchen window, I have watched it steam and even driven the pass into Kingman when the atmosphere was just right, that you could see the steam rising. It is one mile away.

As a real estate agent, I investigated two wells at the base of it, they are 5 miles apart, the shallow well has hot water, I have forgotten the degrees, but it is hot.

The 1,000' well, was warm water also. I had it tested for gallons per minute and was there with the Well Driller, who used his bucket to test it.

If you drive West on I-40 from Kingman to Needles, you will see many volcanic cones, on both sides of the valley.

There are many ways to blow up something, they implode buildings that are large and put them where they want them.

The early Mexican miners would find or drill a hole, fill it with fresh green grass, seal it with clay and wait for the gases of the rotting grass to gently split the rock. Useful for jewelry rock.
