PIPER, did you get an answer to your question about the travel time ON HORSEBACK from medina to tiram?

If Tiram is the modern city of Tarim in Yeman, that would be about 800 miles. Figure 8-10 days depending on terrain.

You don't travel 100 or even 80 miles a day on horseback.You get 25 maybe if on a good steed.
