Just speculating here. I think it's rather interesting that the OBL capture rumor comes up just as Iran is revealed as being involved in 9/11, and as there is talk that the Iranians are continuing to pursue nuclear ambitions. Could the Mullahs be afraid of a US invastion and decide to defuse the issue a bit by handing over OBL...PURE SPECULATION
