AQ like large body counts using simultaneous attacks.

Reports of targets include the SOTU Address, the Super Bowl, various chem/petro/nuke plants, dams and bridges.

Instead of one big simultaneous attack, could they be planning a string of single target attacks? I would think that would be much harder to pull off. After one successful attack, the country would go into red alert and many things (roads, bridges, dams, airports, trains) would be locked down tight.

Thoughts?

Sometime ago I read that originally the 9/11 attack was planned to be a much larger attack- including, if I remember correctly, over 11 flights and including the West coast.
Some thoughts: I think that once they fail to strike a designated target, they will return to it at a future date.
So I'd guess DC- esp. White House- is a given.

I'd guess from all their blathering that they do intend to pull off multiple, simultaneous attacks. I'm guessing that they want to strike with bio/chem and nuke/radiation weapons. Not only targets in the United States, but targets in Britain, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. And not just with planes.
(Has there been any followup on that Fox report that chemical warheads had been slipped into Iraq)?

That they like simultaneous -- synchronized -- attacks is clear from their MO. Not just AQ, also other muslim terror orgs. Not at all clear they like large body counts. That is, they may talk about large body counts, but those are not as important as exactitude in place and time.

Something fundamental about that distinction. They like details that are immaterial to effect. A natural liking.

Like a video game. The sniper-boy Malvo's artwork is a read into that. Or -- dare I say it -- nearly the whole of modern moslem theology -- arcana, minutae, arcana.

Pray at exacty the right time five times a day, facing exactly the right compass degree ...

No wonder they HATE sex -- that is male-female sexuality and relationships which are wildly unpredictable, very asynchronous.

It's feels like we're dealing with more than one terrorist organization. And that's new.

AQ was the coordinating organization - and they brought misery on all terrorist member groups. I suspect many are not happy and might be in open rebellion. That might account for the strange and impotent unending warnings. Have they lost their way? My guess is the "big bad ones" have limited time to prove viability. And this might be a dangerous time because of that. Inter-terrorist fighting works in our favor in the long run, but in the short run the instability could get dicey. Anyhow, those are my thoughts...
