I live 90 miles south of the Canadian/Idaho border. Nothing but woods up here. Do we have satellite or some way our wilderness borders are under surveillance? I sure hope so. If not, they should be.

It is my understanding that long stretches of the Canadian/American border are basically unprotected. There are border checkpoints and some surveillance cameras but they do not cover every mile. I've also heard that some of the cameras are not in working order (great). My brother-in-law lives in Washington, about 15 miles from Canada, in a rural area. He says there are plenty of spots where someone could basically just walk across through the woods. I don't know all of this as fact, just what I have read and heard.
