Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that attacks against our country did not occur when our President was on foreign soil and that You granted safety to all countries during this time. We continually ask that You intercede on our behalf, O God, not by merit of our own, but by Your grace and mercy. Stay the hands of all those who would do us harm, whether here or abroad. Make each one known to those charged with our security, that they be rendered powerless. Keep us vigilant as we go about our daily tasks, for the enemy is relentless.

Heavenly Father, we covet for all peoples the freedom that we enjoy, yet there are many who covet the riches that You have bestowed upon us. I thank You, O God, that You have made us a nation that desires to share its love of freedom, and its wealth, with others. But keep us firm and resolute that our compassion is not to be mistaken for weakness ... strengthen our ability to be fierce in our defense if that is needed, and wise in our efforts to prevent disaster from coming upon us or those we would defend. Protect those who protect us, Creator God, whether they serve abroad or at home, for they are our line of defense against an unseen enemy. We praise You for Your goodness and mercy to us ... let the people continually acknowledge You as Shield and Defender, to the glory of Almighty God, and in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...
