Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the Underground Railroad? I know that runaway slaves came up from PA through Cortland County, north of Binghamton....there are many old homes in Homer and Cortland with secret rooms for the slaves to hide.....

I read the link, and my first thought is that if there was a problem during the taxi, then why leave the ground -- unless the problem was human rather than mechanical.

The tunnels may have nothing to do with the underground railroad and everything to do with bootlegging during prohibition. Many of the cities along the Hudson River, including Troy, Albany, Hudson, and Poughkeepsie, have or had tunnels running down hill to the riverfront, where the bootleg was loaded on to barges destined for bigger cities.

BTW, so I don't have to read the last 1500 posts or so, what's with the fixation on tunnels?

As a kid, we were told that the undergound part of the railroad referred to secrecy, not tunnels, but who knows.

Always found the subject fascinating, as we had a secret room in our house from then, and I have one in my present home. Nice stone chamber behind the base of the chimney in the basement.

Interesting links--just wonder if the now publicized bunker at The Greenbrier resort in WV is still being maintained on some sort of stand by status for defense. Even though the resort offers public tours of the facility on ocassion, several of the persons who ran the facility under the guise of Forsythe and Associates still live in the Greenbrier Valley and there appears to be no local knowledge that the facility has been gutted.

I also acknowledge everyone's time and devotion to this ongoing thread-much thought and hard work is evident.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if maybe the problem is actually known, that it _was_ a "human" problem, but we simply aren't getting that information out of them.

That actually makes more sense in light of these phone calls, the woman says there's a problem, maybe no time to explain, has to get off phone quickly, then calls back just as quickly while someone is standing in the aisles screaming next to her.

Someone earlier remarked on that image that came out a day or 2 ago, of the bloody fist rising out of the Red Sea, and saying that's right where this plane went down. Maybe it really was a call to action after all.

Thanks for the added info on tunnels re bootlegging...you're probably right.

re "fixation on tunnels".....I haven't been able to keep up with this ever-growing thread....however, the first I saw anything about tunnels had to do with tunnels found underneath where the OKC bomb occurred....someone posted that the immigrant Chinese were believed the builders of such, and until it was discovered, it had been talked about as a myth.....when it was discovered, they found Chinese inscriptions on the walls, a room with Buddha and peeling gold-leaf....etc. It is currently used by folks, according to what I read......(gosh, I can't remember how far back that was posted, so the tunnel issue must have come up even before that....). Perhaps a FReeper who's been more involved in this thread can help you out...I only manage to check in here sporadically....sorry Labyrinthos.

Back in the 80's, Mt. Weather used to contain the US Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East Division (Rear). Along with all those underground bunkers and such. Nothing strategic.

Used to be some good deer hunting up that way.

Way back in this thread there are references to tunnels in the south and it sounds like they may have been the starting point of the UG RR.

When I was a kid the teachers gave us a great deal of local history. Locally, there were no tunnels.

Now, they don't have time for history, never mind local stuff. Too busy teaching islam and gay lifestyles and diversatia.

There are more articles alluding to 19, These are some I have bookmarked. It would seem that 19 is the number for a "cell." Likely based off the verse I posted. Also related to:
