[history]
Monday, November 3, 2003
A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

They reported BA223 should takeoff today about 8:30 my time (pst) but FlyteComm shows it still on the ground. As I said on another thread President Bush asked Tom Ridge prior to grounding AirFrance "Would you let your son or daughter fly on that plane?" Answer "NO".

Not surprised. NJ tractor trailors are dangerous! I've had a few close calls myself.

We can either wake the hell up and do what is necessary, or die a slow and painful death. How I wish it would be the former, but unfortunately it seems that's not the route to be taken.
To: Unknowing
So "manteau" could allude both to a large suitcase and perhaps also a seaport. Or neither.
There was talk of backpack nukes as well...port(able) manteau.

News regarding London Heathrow isn't much more than what is being reported. I did overhear a fellow American lady at the Concierge desk talking to British Airways. She was trying to get another flight out as her flight was cancelled. This was earlier today. I got the impression she wasn't flying to Dulles, therfore there may be more flights cancelled than that which is being reported. Have to get to Heathrow 12 hrs before fly time too. Cheers, Eyes in London

Just heard BA223 should be pushing back from gate shortly only 2 1/2 hours late. Each passenger was accompanied to the plane individually and the baggage was checked twice!!

The last big quake on the New Madrid changed the direction of the Mississippi and caused chimneys in New England to crack. I don't think one suitcase nuke will do that but if they have a bunch who knows?
There is a Catholic visionary in Betania, Venezuela, by the name of Maria Esperanza who has seen the danger here with caves in the earth and earthquakes/volcanoes/ so called natural disasters.
Betania is considered a holy place like Lourdes or Fatima and it is recognized by the Vatican. She wrote about all this decades ago and also forsaw and wrote of both WTC attacks. She saw a little power and a much bigger power working in cahoots against us. She also said it will be up to the US to save the world.

I've been lurking here for weeks, amazed by the intelligent thoughts, research, analyses with nothing of any value to add. But...one thing keeps coming to mind. Several posts over the last week occasionally refer to dividing the country into 3 parts (can't remember the exact words). Does anyone remember seeing a norad map showing the country divided into 3 sections? Just a thought.
To: Cindy
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we dodged a bullet or two, or three.

Well, appears my intelligence source (my 14 yr old sister) on the 12 hrs was incorrect. It is still the usual recommended time of 4 hrs before take-off.
Been watching Sky News here in London and they are showing live shots of the BA 223 flight. It does appear they have clearance and will likely be escorted by fighter jets into the Dulles. Sky reports that the last delay was from US authorities asking the Brits to re-check the passenger list.
Off to the Pub now. Having the shoulder of lamb and a few pints of Becks draught.
Cheers, Eyes in London
